SOLSC 31/31

Ugh. Its the last day of the SOLSC. It really sucks. I mean, I’m still going to have my blog and everything, and I encourage everyone else to do the same, but it just seems like the end of an Era. A lot of people will probably terminate their blogs now that they’ll be out of the class that supports SOLSC by the next time it comes around. If your keeping your blog up (like me) and will still be posting about everyday stuff outside of school stuff, tell me so we all know? I really hope others stay with this new experience and don’t just drop it now that March is over. But if you do, I still love ya! <3

Mini marshmallows and broken chocolate,

Big blue eyes, and bright sticky notes,

Tiny owls that tilt their head sideways,

These are a few of my favorite things.

Winning an intelligence battle and the opponent admitting.

Pandas and bunnies and cute little babies.

Nails that don’t smudge, or get out of place.

These are a few of my favorite things.

Faded memories with smiling faces

Yawning bunnies that soon drift to sleep

Snowflakes the melt, faster than come.

These are a few of my favorite things.

When the battery dies, when something stupid,

When I’m feeling sad.

I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don’t feel so bad!

(Not sure if its copy written, that might have come after the movie. But you all know were its from. I mean its The Sound of Music, if you don’t know it by now, your life is seriously messed up.)

Egg stuffing is probably one of the most boring things you could ever do alone. Thats why when my church had to stuff 3,000 Easter eggs for the Annual Egg hunt we put on every year we invited some people. But when I say “some people” I mean like three other churches. Lucky me though, someone really awesome that I go to with to the Epic church came when I invited him, and lets just say, that made it really fun to be there. I mean, technically he did throw a plastic, wingless fly at me at least three times. And he tried to take my extra candy. And made me laugh until I cried. A lot. Geez, adorable boyfriends can be mean. (JK 😉 )

SOLSC 28/31

The Day of Music has finally come! For every visitor and worker it’s a day full of fun, food, music (obviously) and entertainment! Most of us band kids go for all of the day to work for money that will go into our band account. This year, I decided I better start saving up for the Four-Year-Trip. In case you didn’t know, the Four-Year-Trip is a trip that all the High School Band kids go on, every four years. My group is especially lucky. A fifth grade parent that’s kid is going to be with us on my four year trip, knows people across the globe that would want us to play for them. Meaning, as long as we can get the funds (which we obviously can no-problem-We have really rich supporters in China.) we can go to not one, not two, but three different countries. Lets just say, I’m sooooooooooo not dropping out of band. But anyways, whenever I get the opportunity, I work as much as possible for my own funds. Its gonna cost well over a thousand dollars. I’m gonna try to get all I need, and then some by then. Now before you say it’s practically impossible, ya. I know. I have big ambitions, so what? I mean how awesome would it be if I got that goal though? Especially compared to my normal goal of making a non-burnt pancake!

Secrets.

The biggest weapon against mankind. the only one that many people can hold at the same time. When you have one -your own, or someone elses- it can, and will, constantly eat away at you. Until one fateful day, you accidentally explode. Telling someone else the secret. It goes on in a vicous cycle. But the thing is, sometimes, those secrets need to be kept. Almost as if if the whole world knew everything, it would explode in frustration. Similar to how us humans do after too long of keeping a secret.

Skip, skip, skip.

Down the halls.

Skip, skip, skip.

Into the classroom.

Skip, skip, skip.

To your desk.

Skip, skip, skip.

back to the hallway.

Skip, skip, skip.

To your locker.

Skip, skip, skip.

Over again.

SOLSC 25/31

As I walk down the hallway, dodging the few students that still lurk in the hall ways, I notice something on the ground. Its small, and black with a tiny brown stripe down the middle. I walk up next to it and stop, I slowly realize what it is. A baby. A baby Teddy Bear caterpillar. My eyes well up with tears, my hand start to shake as I quickly dry them up with my sleeves. I fall to my knees, unable to stand. I draw a few sideways glances from a few of my peers and a (really awesome super cool) teacher. They look towards the ground in front of me were Mr. SneezeALot lies. (I named him as soon as I learned he had had a life.)

“Whats wrong Sophie?” My first hour teacher cooed. I glanced up at her, eyes still glistening.

“A baby caterpillar. He was smooched…” I informed her, as she began to share my little frown. I had to get to class soon. I needed nothing for my second hour band class that wasn’t already in the room. “I want to do something for him, but I don’t want to pick him up…” I said, really not wanting to touch him.

“Aww, well you better get to class Sophie, bells gonna ring soon.” She said, yet again, one hundred percent right. As she began to disappear behind her door, I slowly brought myself to my feet, wishing adieu to the little caterpillar.

SOLSC 24/31

A surge of panic. A wave of frenzy. Have you been discovered? Yes and no. They know it’s someone, maybe just not you. Your heart beat quiets, along with your breath. Don’t move. You think. Plan a way out. An escape. You wait for their footsteps to fade out, for just a moment. So you open the door and dart out, only visible for a millisecond. Don’t look back. Look calm. An innocent bystander. You’ve done nothing really wrong. You try to remind yourself. You start walking instead, and begin to blend in with your surroundings. You soon realize your heartbeat is still racing from the surge of adrenaline, so you attempt to bring it back to normal. No one around here has realized your act. You wait. Finally you realize you’re safe, no one has, or will know it was you. Having a quick feeling of being pleasantly evil, you get back to work. Scheming your next small scandal.

SOLSC 23/31

Hey, hey you. Yes you! Can you keep a secret? Because I have one to tell, and if you tell anyone else, Well I just might cry. Then of course, plot my revenge. I’m quite good at that. So anyways, if you can’t keep a secret, GO AWAY!!!!

Ok good. Now that they’re gone; guess who’s birthday is coming up?! No not mine. Stop interrupting and I’ll tell you. Ya I can see you, talking to your screen, now your getting annoyed because I’m not getting to he point. But you have to admit, your laughing a little bit. So if you’ll quiet down I’ll tell you. Thank you. Well, maybe I shouldn’t tell you, You might ruin the surprise, on accident probably but none the less you could. Hmm… Fine, fine I’ll tell you. Okay you ready for it? It’s Maddie’s birthday this Sunday. I know right?!?! She told me a few months ago and then hasn’t brought it up. She doesn’t know I know and so far its been kept under wraps. Obviously we have to sing to her. If you’re in any of her hours make sure they sing to her on Monday, not Friday though because then she’d know we know. Also, Band kids listen up, were gonna have to embarrass her to the MAX Monday, as in sing to her in small groups all hour and the whole band at least once. If she doesn’t hate me now then she’ll claim she does on Monday, but secretly she’ll love it, trust me I know Maddie. Welp thats the plan. Shhhh!! Don’t tell Maddie!!! Or anyone else for that matter. Trust no one.

Operation Birthday #1 is a go.

SOLSC 22/31

Roses are red

Violets are blue.

I’ve just found out the Day of Music

Is my Church’s Clean-up Day too.

“Oh crap!” I think,

“How could I not have made the connection of the two?!”

I ponder the decision, my bandmates might need me!

But the church might to.

I finally make a decision

Of which the two to do.

I made a commitment to my band,

The Church will understand.

Maybe the for the next Monday-Night-Meal

I can make them a stew!
